The Oppo Reno 16F 5G combines a distinctive rear design with a capable camera system, a large battery, fast charging, and a feature-rich software experience. Its 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto camera with optical zoom, and 8MP ultrawide camera provide flexibility for portraits, distant subjects, and wider scenes. The front camera also delivers wide-angle selfies and supports 4K video, making it useful for group shots and content creation. A 120Hz AMOLED display offers smooth scrolling and vibrant colours, while the Dimensity 7300 chipset handles everyday use and casual gaming comfortably. The 7,000mAh battery and included 80W charger make this a practical option for heavy daily use. ColorOS AI tools, including Mind Pilot and photo-editing features, add useful extras, and the phone includes a stated software and security update commitment. With 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, it offers generous room for apps, photos, and videos.
The Dimensity 7300 is suitable for everyday tasks and casual gaming, but buyers seeking flagship-level processing power should consider stronger chipsets. The hybrid SIM slot also means using a memory card can limit dual-SIM flexibility. The unusual placement of the SIM tray and nearby microphone opening requires care when ejecting the tray to avoid damaging the microphone.
The Google Pixel 10 is worth considering for buyers who prioritize Google's computational photography, clean Android experience, and long-term software support, although the Oppo offers substantially more battery capacity and faster wired charging. The Vivo V70 FE is another option for battery-focused users, with comparable battery endurance and a high-resolution main camera, while the Oppo offers a dedicated telephoto camera with optical zoom and a higher-resolution front camera. Your choice depends on whether you value zoom versatility and selfie video or prefer the Pixel's software experience and the Vivo's high-resolution main-camera approach.

At Rs. 139,495 for the 8GB/256GB model listed on W4Mobiles, the Reno 16F is one of the better-equipped mid-range phones in Pakistan right now, though many buyers still feel it is priced high.
At a time when other brands have cut chargers and raised prices sharply, Oppo kept the extras, which makes the 16F easier to recommend. Choose it if camera versatility and battery matter most. If you want a bigger, sharper screen and a 200 MP camera for less, look at the Vivo V70 FE; if you want the best photo processing and long updates, the Pixel 10 is worth the extra money.
The Reno 16F has a 6.57 inches AMOLED at 1080 x 2372 (Full HD+) with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1400 nits in high-brightness mode. It is protected by Oppo's Crystal Guard glass, and a screen protector comes pre-applied.
In use the panel looks bright, smooth and pleasant, with Widevine L1 for HD streaming and HDR playback on YouTube. An in-display fingerprint reader is included.
Some buyers expected a sharper 1.5K panel at this price, and the screen is smaller than many rivals, which suits one-handed use but not those who want a big display. The always-on display is limited to a 10-second mode by default. Oppo has not stated a PWM dimming figure.
The Reno 16F uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy (4 nm) with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in Pakistan, replacing the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 of the previous model.
No long-term heating tests are available yet. Heavy gamers should wait for full reviews.
The rear setup has a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 50 MP 3.5x telephoto with OIS and an 8 MP ultrawide, plus a 50 MP wide-angle selfie camera with autofocus.
Fun extras include Pop camera filters that adjust to the light, a screen flash with adjustable tone, AI editing tools and collage remixes. Full camera tests are still to come.
The Pakistani model has a 7000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, with 80W SuperVOOC charging and the 80W charger included in the box, unlike many rivals that have cut it. Our database lists a full charge in about 62 minutes. Reverse wired charging lets it top up earbuds or another phone.
Early impressions expect around a day and a half to two days of use, but no full battery test has been published yet, so treat that as an estimate.
Note that the European version has a smaller battery and slower 45W charging; the Pakistani unit is the international 7000 mAh version.
The Reno 16F runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16, with the full ColorOS feature set rather than a cut-down version. It includes Oppo AI tools such as Mind Space, AI Mind Pilot, which sends your question to several AI models while keeping your data on Oppo's cloud, AI writing, translation, Circle to Search and Gemini. A one-tap AI button on the side can be customised.
Other useful features include AI LinkBoost for weaker signal areas and a short-range off-network messaging feature between Oppo phones.
The update policy is unclear: sources differ on the number of Android upgrades and years of security patches, so confirm Oppo's official policy before relying on long-term support.
The Reno 16F is listed at Rs. 139,495 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, the only version expected in Pakistan. Prices vary by store and change often, so compare current listings before buying.
For most buyers, yes. It is the cheapest model in the series, gets the biggest upgrades over its predecessor, including the 3.5x telephoto, and keeps the main design and AI features of the Reno 16. Buy the Reno 16 only if you want its faster chip and more premium build.
Pick the Reno 16F for its 3.5x telephoto, stronger IP69K protection and microSD slot. Pick the Vivo V70 FE if you want a larger, sharper 1.5K screen, a 200 MP main camera and louder stereo speakers at a lower price, accepting weaker video and no telephoto.
The OPPO Reno 16F 5G is reported to support 2,180Hz PWM dimming
