The Honor X8D focuses on battery endurance, display quality and everyday photography rather than high-end performance. Its 6.77-inch AMOLED display combines FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and strong outdoor visibility, making it suitable for scrolling, videos and daily use. The 108MP main camera with OIS captures detailed photos with appealing skin tones and portrait results, while the additional 5MP ultrawide camera provides framing flexibility. However, video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps, and stabilisation is inconsistent, particularly at 1080p. The 7,000mAh battery and included 45W charger are practical advantages, while the relatively light 188g body keeps the phone manageable. MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, NFC, an IR blaster and an AI shortcut button round out the package. IP65 protection adds some resistance against dust and water splashes.
The main compromises are limited video capabilities and modest processing power. The chipset is comparable to the Snapdragon 685 class, making it suitable for routine apps and light gaming rather than demanding games. Although the main camera includes OIS, stabilisation remains inconsistent, and there is no 4K recording or electronic video stabilisation. The 5MP ultrawide camera is also relatively basic. Widevine L3 prevents HD streaming on supported platforms, the phone lacks 5G and microSD expansion, and its always-on display only stays active briefly. These limitations matter more given its premium positioning.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro is worth considering if camera versatility and multimedia features matter more than battery capacity. It offers a 200MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 32MP selfie camera, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and expandable storage. Its 5,500mAh battery is smaller than the Honor's 7,000mAh unit, while both support 45W charging. The Redmi Note 14 provides a similar 120Hz AMOLED display, a 108MP main camera and a 5,500mAh battery, with 33W charging. Compared with these alternatives, the Honor X8D prioritises battery endurance, a lighter body and newer software, while the Redmi models offer different camera, storage and multimedia advantages.

At Rs. 78,999 for the 8GB/256GB model listed on W4Mobiles, the Honor X8d is a sensible buy for people who care most about battery life, a good screen and a slim, light body. A 7000 mAh battery in a 7.5 mm, 188 g phone is its standout feature, backed by a sharp 1080p AMOLED display, a 108 MP main camera with OIS and a 45W charger in the box.
Cost-cutting shows in several places for this price. The Redmi Note 14 Pro offers a 200 MP camera on a similar 4G platform, and the Vivo Y500 an even bigger battery. Verdict: buy the X8d if endurance and portability matter more than 5G, gaming power or video recording.
The Honor X8d has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It looks sharp, colours are rich, and scrolling is smooth. Brightness is a strong point: the screen stays clear outdoors, and even videos remain watchable in direct sunlight.
There are two limits. The phone supports only Widevine L3, so apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video cannot stream in HD on it, which undercuts the good panel for people who watch a lot of shows. The always-on display is also the 10-second type: it turns off after a short while and needs a tap to come back.
The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS storage. Despite the long name, it is a modest chip in the same class as the Snapdragon 685, with benchmark scores around 470,000 on AnTuTu. Everyday use, such as social apps, browsing, calls and switching between apps, runs smoothly, and storage speeds are good.
For gaming, expect light to moderate play. Independent testing found popular titles such as Call of Duty Mobile playable on medium settings, while demanding games need the lowest presets. Heating has not been reported as a concern so far.
The bigger limitation is that the chip is 4G only. The phone also lacks 4G+ (4.5G) support, so it gives up the faster networks that many phones at this price already support.
The rear has a 108 MP main camera with OIS and a 5 MP ultrawide, with a 16 MP selfie camera on the front. Main camera photos are the highlight: detail is strong, skin tones look natural, background blur in portraits is pleasing, and shots are ready to post without editing. Independent testing also found low-light photos competent for the segment.
The 5 MP ultrawide is weak and loses detail in busy scenes. Video is the clearest compromise: both cameras record only at 1080p or 720p at 30fps, with no 4K, no option to raise the frame rate and no electronic stabilisation. Even with OIS, 1080p rear video stays jerky when you walk, and selfie videos have no stabilisation at all.
Battery life is the Honor X8d's main selling point. It packs a 7000 mAh silicon-carbon battery into a phone that weighs only 188 g. Independent testing found it lasts two days or more with mixed use, including video, social media and light gaming, so most users can skip a night of charging.
Charging is well covered too. The phone supports 45W wired charging and, unlike many rivals, Honor includes a 45W SuperCharge charger in the box with a USB-A to USB-C cable, so the large battery refills reasonably quickly. Reverse charging for other devices has also been reported.
The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. The interface is smooth and comes with Honor's AI tools, including AI Eraser and photo upscaling. A dedicated AI button on the side can be set to short, double and long presses, but it can only open AI functions, not any app or setting you choose.
Some missing features may matter to Pakistani buyers: there is no call recording, and the always-on display only stays on for 10 seconds. Some preinstalled apps and a folder of shortcuts make the phone feel cluttered at first, though these can be tidied up. Honor's official update commitment for the X8d was not found, so do not assume long-term Android upgrades.
It is priced on the high side for a 4G phone. You pay for the 7000 mAh battery, the bright 1080p AMOLED screen, the slim 188 g body and a 45W charger in the box, but you give up 5G, 4K video and HD streaming on Netflix-type apps.
No. It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2, a newer chip in the same class as the Snapdragon 685, scoring around 470,000 on AnTuTu. It handles daily use and light gaming smoothly but is not meant for heavy gaming.
The OIS on the 108 MP main camera mainly helps photos. In video it does little: 1080p clips still show jerks while walking, and the phone has no electronic stabilisation to help. The selfie camera has no stabilisation at all.
It does not use Gorilla Glass; the screen uses aluminosilicate glass. Honor does rate the X8d as drop resistant, and it carries an IP65 dust and water resistance rating, so it can handle splashes and dust.
OPPO A6 Pro for the better overall hardware package at its listed price. Choose the HONOR X8d if camera versatility and display sharpness matter more.
