The Infinix Hot 40 Pro is a sensible pick for buyers who want dependable everyday speed and plenty of storage without paying mid-range money. At Rs. 44,999, the Helio G99 keeps daily use smooth and casual gaming steady, the 120Hz Full HD+ screen makes scrolling fluid, and loud stereo speakers suit video watching. The compromises sit in the screen and cameras: an IPS LCD instead of AMOLED, and photos that fall apart in low light.
The LCD looks dim in strong sunlight, and touch occasionally misses inputs. Low-light photos are noisy, even with flash. XOS also pushes Palm Store ads, some unsuitable for families, until switched off. Water protection is only IP54 splash resistance.
The Infinix Hot 50 Pro (Rs. 87,999) fixes the Hot 40 Pro's biggest weakness with a much brighter AMOLED screen, and adds the newer Helio G100 and a slimmer body. However, its 8 MP selfie camera is a clear step down, and at that price gap the Hot 40 Pro remains the better value unless display quality comes first.

At Rs. 44,999, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro is good value for buyers who want smooth everyday performance, lots of storage and loud speakers on a budget. Its strengths are the Helio G99, a 120Hz Full HD+ screen, stereo speakers, a 32 MP selfie camera, a 3.5mm jack and a dedicated memory card slot.
The compromises are an IPS LCD that is dim in strong sunlight, weak low-light photos, occasional touch misses and ads in XOS that need switching off.
Verdict: a solid all-rounder for students and casual gamers. If screen quality matters most, an AMOLED phone such as the Infinix Hot 50 Pro is the better choice, though it costs much more.
The Infinix Hot 40 Pro has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ (1080 x 2460) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, rated at 500 nits peak.
A Magic Ring animation around the punch-hole shows charging and notifications. If AMOLED quality is a priority, this is not the phone for you.
The MediaTek Helio G99 (6 nm) with 8GB RAM handles daily use well, and app loading feels quick. GSMArena found its benchmark results middle-of-the-pack for its class.
The phone is 4G only, but carrier aggregation is improved over earlier Infinix models.
The rear has a 108 MP f/1.8 main camera with a 2 MP macro sensor and an extra lens. There is no ultrawide or zoom lens.
Extra modes include Super Night, Portrait on both cameras, Film mode templates, Sky Shop to replace the sky, and Dual Video to record with both cameras.
The Infinix Hot 40 Pro has a 5000 mAh battery with 33W wired charging, and battery life is one of its strengths.
The auto refresh rate and the efficient 6 nm G99 both help battery life.
The Infinix Hot 40 Pro runs XOS 13.5 on Android 13. It is a heavy interface with plenty of customisation:
The downside is ads and preinstalled apps. The Palm Store shows frequent ads, and some can be inappropriate for family use. You can switch them off in the Hot Searches settings. GSMArena also called the software cluttered.
Infinix has not published an update commitment for the Hot 40 Pro that we could verify, so the Android 14 upgrade is not confirmed.
The Infinix Hot 40 Pro costs Rs. 44,999 in Pakistan. Prices can vary between shops and cities, so compare the store prices on this page before buying.
No. The Infinix Hot 40 Pro uses a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz. It is sharp and smooth, but it looks dim in direct sunlight and cannot match AMOLED contrast. Buyers who want AMOLED should look at other phones.
No. The '16GB RAM' on the box combines 8GB of physical RAM with 8GB of virtual RAM taken from storage. Virtual RAM helps keep more apps open, but it is much slower than real RAM.
Yes. GSMArena found UFS 2.2 storage on the 128GB model of the Infinix Hot 40 Pro, which gives faster app loading and file transfers than eMMC storage.
The Infinix Hot 40 Pro is 4G only. Its Helio G99 chip has no 5G modem, so it cannot use 5G networks.
Only in the Free Fire edition box, which included a cooling fan and a lanyard. The regular box has a 33W charger, a Type-C cable and a back cover. The phone manages heat well on its own.
