Vivo Y400 price in Pakistan

Vivo Y400 price in Pakistan is Rs. 69,999 (last updated 22 Oct 2026). See all Vivo phones.

The Vivo Y400 is built for toughness and battery life rather than speed. An IP68 and IP69 rating, a 6000 mAh battery that lasts around two days and a sharp 120Hz AMOLED screen make it a dependable everyday phone, and its stereo speakers are among the best at this price. But the Snapdragon 685 is an old 4G chip that runs daily tasks smoothly while holding back gaming.

Who it's for

  • People who work outdoors or around water, because the phone can be submerged and has an underwater camera mode controlled with the buttons.
  • Media lovers who want a bright, smooth screen and loud, balanced stereo sound for videos.
  • Buyers who keep a phone for years and value Vivo's reliability and resale value over raw power.

Where it falls short

Gaming tops out around 40fps, and PUBG Mobile is limited to Balanced graphics. Video stops at 1080p 30fps, with no 4K, no optical stabilisation and some focus hunting, and there is no ultra-wide lens. Selfies lose detail in dim light. NFC, a headphone jack and a memory card slot are all missing, which is hard to accept at this price.

Worth comparing

The Realme 15T costs more at Rs. 89,999 but adds 5G, the faster Dimensity 6400 Max, a 7000 mAh battery with 60W charging, a 50 MP selfie camera and up to three Android upgrades, with a matching IP69 rating. For long-term use or selfies, the extra spend is justified; for water resistance and good sound at a lower price, the Y400 covers the basics.

Vivo Y400: Buyer's Guide

Is It Value for Money?

At Rs. 69,999, the Vivo Y400 is priced well above what its chipset suggests. You pay for durability, design and sound rather than performance.

Strengths:

  • IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, with an underwater photo mode
  • 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with good outdoor brightness
  • Strong stereo speakers
  • 6000 mAh battery with a 44W charger in the box

Weaknesses:

  • The dated Snapdragon 685 4G chip
  • 8 MP selfie camera, no ultra-wide lens, video capped at 1080p
  • No headphone jack, no memory card slot and no NFC on Pakistani units

The Realme 15T at Rs. 89,999 is the stronger phone overall, with 5G, a faster chip, a bigger battery and a 50 MP selfie camera.

Verdict: worth it only for buyers who want a tough, water-resistant Vivo with long battery life and good sound. Gamers and camera-focused buyers should look elsewhere.

How Is the Display?

The Vivo Y400 has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 1080 x 2400 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. At about 395 ppi, text and video look crisp, and the slim bezels make it feel more expensive than it is.

  • Brightness: rated at 1200 nits in high-brightness mode and 1800 nits peak. The screen stays readable in direct sunlight, though some cheaper phones now advertise brighter panels.
  • Viewing: AMOLED gives deep blacks and punchy colours, so streaming apps look good. There is no HDR support.
  • Always-on display: it shows for about 10 seconds after a tap rather than staying on.

The in-display fingerprint scanner is quick, and the centred punch-hole is small enough not to distract during videos.

How Is the Performance?

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 (6 nm) is an older 4G chip with four cores at up to 2.8 GHz and an Adreno 610 GPU. With 8 GB RAM (plus 8 GB of software-extended RAM) and UFS 2.2 storage, it feels smooth in calls, social media, browsing and switching between everyday apps. Funtouch OS is well tuned on this hardware.

Gaming is where it falls behind:

  • PUBG Mobile does not offer graphics settings above Balanced.
  • Games run at around 40fps, which is playable but not smooth.
  • A vapour chamber helps keep temperatures under control during longer sessions.

The chip is the same one found in much cheaper phones, so heavy users and gamers will notice its limits sooner than on newer chipsets.

How Is the Camera?

The rear has a 50 MP main camera (Sony IMX852) with a 2 MP auxiliary lens, and the front has an 8 MP selfie camera. There is no ultra-wide lens.

  • Daylight: photos look clean with pleasing colours and good background blur. Opinions differ on detail: some find it strong, others find fine detail lacking when zooming in. Colours can lean slightly washed out.
  • Portraits: background separation looks natural in many shots, but edge detection can slip around hair and outlines.
  • Selfies: decent in good light for 8 MP, but faces lose detail in dim rooms.
  • Video: both cameras top out at 1080p 30fps. The rear camera has electronic stabilisation (with a slight crop), but no optical stabilisation and no 4K. The front camera has no stabilisation. Focus can hunt and colours can shift during recording.

A dedicated underwater mode lets you take photos and videos using the physical buttons when the phone is submerged.

How Is the Battery?

The Vivo Y400 uses a 6000 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Paired with the efficient Snapdragon 685, it gives around two days of normal use, and the phone stays slim at 7.9 mm and under 200 g.

  • Charging: 44W, and the 44W charger is included in the box. This is slower than the 80W of the older Vivo Y200 but reasonable for the price.
  • Reverse charging: it can charge small accessories by cable.
  • Bypass charging: while gaming on the charger, power goes to the phone instead of the battery, which reduces heat and wear.
  • Battery health: Vivo claims the battery keeps its performance for about 4 years.

Battery life is one of the Y400's most convincing strengths.

How Is the Software?

The phone runs Funtouch OS 15 on Android 15. It is packed with features and customisation. If you come from a cleaner Android interface, it takes some getting used to.

Useful extras include:

  • AI Erase and photo enhancement tools in the gallery
  • Circle to Search, AI transcription and screen translation
  • An extended RAM option and settings to keep apps in memory
  • A 400% volume mode for the stereo speakers
  • Water ejection, which vibrates water out of the speaker after use in rain or underwater

Vivo has not announced how many Android version updates or years of security patches the Y400 will get, so do not assume long-term support. The Realme 15T, by comparison, lists up to three major Android upgrades.

Vivo Y400: Questions Buyers Ask

Is the Vivo Y400 overpriced for a Snapdragon 685 phone?

For most buyers, yes. At Rs. 69,999 you get an old 4G chip that handles daily use well but limits gaming. The price mainly pays for IP68 and IP69 water resistance, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, stereo speakers and a 6000 mAh battery. Performance-focused buyers get more from the Realme 15T.

Does the Vivo Y400 have NFC?

No, the Pakistani Vivo Y400 does not support NFC, so tap-to-pay with your phone is not possible. GSMArena lists NFC as market dependent, and Vivo's Pakistan page does not mention it.

How many years of software updates will it get?

Vivo has not announced an official update policy for the Y400. It ships with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15, but the number of Android upgrades and years of security patches has not been confirmed.

Is the Vivo Y400 a 5G phone?

No, the Vivo Y400 is a 4G phone. The Snapdragon 685 supports 4G LTE and VoLTE but not 5G. If you need 5G, the Realme 15T supports it.

Does it have a headphone jack?

No, the Vivo Y400 has no 3.5 mm headphone jack. You will need USB-C or Bluetooth earphones. It also has no FM radio and no memory card slot.

What storage type does it use, UFS 2.2 or eMMC?

The Vivo Y400 uses UFS 2.2 storage, according to GSMArena's spec sheet. It is faster than eMMC, though newer UFS 3.1 storage is faster still.

Is the Realme C85 Pro better than the Vivo Y400?

Opinions differ, as both use the same Snapdragon 685. The Realme C85 Pro has a larger, brighter screen, a 7000 mAh battery and stronger liquid resistance. The Vivo Y400 has stereo speakers instead of a single speaker, slightly quicker everyday speed and better resale value.
