The Xiaomi 15T brings near-flagship speed to a price well below true flagships, and that is its main argument. The Dimensity 8400 Ultra with Xiaomi's IceLoop cooling handles demanding games at their highest settings, while the Leica-tuned triple camera produces natural, detailed daylight photos rather than heavily beautified ones. A large 6.83-inch AMOLED screen, IP68 protection and a slim 7.5 mm body round out a well-balanced package at Rs. 169,999. What holds it back is that rivals now offer bigger batteries and premium metal builds at similar money, so it suits buyers who prioritise performance and camera tuning over materials.
The plastic frame feels out of place at this price, there is no wireless charging, and the 5500 mAh battery is modest by current standards. Low-light photos look less vibrant, default portrait blur is too strong, and the front camera is limited to 4K 30fps.
The Oppo Reno 16 costs slightly less and answers several of these gaps with an aluminium frame, a larger silicon-carbon battery, faster 80W charging and a 3.5x telephoto. Its Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is noticeably slower, though, so the Xiaomi remains the better choice for gaming.

At Rs. 169,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version sold in Pakistan, the Xiaomi 15T is good value for buyers who want flagship-class performance and a capable camera without paying flagship prices.
Main advantages:
Main drawbacks:
Against the Oppo Reno 16 (Rs. 159,999): the Oppo is cheaper, smaller and better built, with a bigger 6700 mAh battery, 80W charging and a longer-reach telephoto. The Xiaomi is clearly faster and has the larger screen.
Verdict: opinions differ on the price, and many buyers feel it should cost less. It is a strong pick for gamers and anyone who wants realistic camera colours. Buyers who care most about build, battery size or resale value may find the Reno 16 the safer choice.
Official specs: a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel at 1280 x 2772 (1.5K) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, a quoted 3200 nits peak and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Real-world use: the screen is large, sharp and bright, with thin bezels that make it feel immersive for video and gaming. Widevine L1 with HDR support means streaming apps and HDR video on YouTube look their best. The optical in-display fingerprint reader and face unlock both work quickly.
Lab results: GSMArena found the display very bright in auto mode, though well below the quoted peak, and praised it as sharp and HDR-ready.
Limitations:
Official specs: a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra (4 nm) with a top core at 3.25 GHz and a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Real-world use: this is effectively last year's Pro-level performance. AnTuTu scores land around 1.6 to 1.7 million, and apps, multitasking and heavy use feel fast throughout.
Gaming: PUBG Mobile supports up to 90fps, and higher graphics settings such as HDR with high frame rates are available too. Xiaomi's 3D IceLoop cooling keeps temperatures in check, and GSMArena praised its thermals and sustained stability.
Limitations:
Official specs: a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 50 MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultrawide, all with Leica Summilux lenses. The selfie camera is 32 MP.
Photos: daylight shots are very detailed, with authentic, camera-like colours. The phone does not smooth skin or brighten faces the way beauty modes do, which suits people who want realistic results but may disappoint those who prefer flattering selfies. Leica filters such as Vivid, Natural and Black and White add style.
Portraits: the 2x telephoto is well suited to portraits, but the default background blur is too strong and can look unnatural. Reducing it in editing gives much better results.
Low light: results are acceptable, but skin tones look less vibrant, and low-light quality could be better for the price.
Video: rear recording tops out at 4K 60fps, with no 8K option. Log recording, HDR10+, slow motion up to 960fps and cinematic blur video on all three lenses are useful extras for creators.
Limitations:
Official specs: a 5500 mAh battery with 67W wired charging. There is no wireless charging. Xiaomi rates the battery for 1600 charge cycles.
Real-world use: the efficient Dimensity 8400 Ultra helps the battery last a full day of heavy use without trouble.
Lab results: GSMArena recorded an Active Use Score of nearly 15 hours, which is strong. Charging took the battery to 39% in 15 minutes and to full in about 51 minutes.
In the box: units sold in Pakistan are reported to include a charger, but check before buying, as some markets ship without one.
Limitations:
Official specs: the phone launched with Android 15 and HyperOS 2, and our database lists an upgrade to Android 16 with HyperOS 3. GSMArena reports that Xiaomi promises four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
Useful features:
Limitations:
It is fairly priced for its performance at Rs. 169,999, but not cheap. GSMArena noted that its European price fell soon after launch, so waiting may pay off in Pakistan too, although local prices are hard to predict. Buy now if you need the phone; otherwise watch for discounts.
The 5500 mAh battery and 67W charging are good, but not class-leading. GSMArena measured an Active Use Score of nearly 15 hours and a full charge in about 51 minutes. The Oppo Reno 16 offers a bigger 6700 mAh battery and 80W charging, and the Xiaomi has no wireless charging.
Yes. The Xiaomi 15T has a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom alongside the 50 MP main and 12 MP ultrawide cameras. It is ideal for portraits, but GSMArena notes that it lacks optical image stabilisation, unlike the main camera.
Yes. The Xiaomi 15T supports 5G, along with 4G LTE and VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and eSIM, so it is ready for 5G networks in Pakistan as they roll out.
The Xiaomi 15T's 32 MP selfie camera is limited to 4K at 30fps, while 60fps is available only at 1080p. The rear cameras handle 4K at 60fps. GSMArena also notes the selfie camera is fixed focus, so vloggers who need 4K 60fps from the front should look at other phones.
